Eden Skin Food is a small scale holistic skincare business based in East Yorkshire in the United Kingdom.  We are very proud of our range of products, which comprises handmade pure plant skincare products made of as many organic ingredients as we can possibly source.  We do not hold large stocks of products, we make things in small batches so things are as fresh as possible.

Our aim is to produce high quality natural products at an affordable price.  Our business principles are very much grounded in taking a holistic approach to health and lifestyle.

The products contain safe, pure and natural plant based ingredients including tinctures, infusions, extracts, cold pressed vegetable oils and pure essential oils.  As many as possible are organic, cold pressed and C02 extracted - naturally produced without the use of chemicals. 

We use the best quality, pure clinical grade organic, wild crafted and natural essential oils, active ingredients like Vitamin E, Lecithin, Rosemary Antioxidant, Green Tea Antioxidant, Aloe Vera and organic tinctures and extracts.  We only purchase our raw materials from the most reputable of suppliers.

We use vegetable derived and vegan emulsifiers made from Corn, Coconut and Palm Kernel Oils to blend our creams and lotions.  We don't use Parabens in any of the products we make.  Our bath and shower gels are free from Parabens, SLS (sodium lauryl sulphate) and SLES (sodium lauryl ether sulphate).  We use Mipa Laureth Sulphate which is derived from Coconut and Palm Kernel Oil.

We source our raw materials from reputable suppliers who have the same principles as us, to use raw materials that are environmentally friendly and natural.

We have to use a preservative in our products otherwise they will go off.  We use food grade preservatives - a blend of Potassium Sorbate, Benzyl Alcohol and Phenoxyethanol.  This is the most gentle and effective preservative we have tested.  We don't use Parabens in any of the products we make. Preservatives are required to prevent spoilage from anti-microbial action.   

We would always recommend that you treat your products with respect by keeping them cool, away from heat sources, bright lights and where possible you use clean fingers into creams in order to prevent spoilage.
